Next weekend the Finnish Institute is opening a Christmas shop to sell all sorts of Scandinavian things, to both expats and curious Brits. I went last year and loved it - lots of unusual things, plus free nibbles and mulled wine. Get there early though - things do sell out.
"Following last year's successful event, The Finnish Institute in London and the Finnish Church in London are organising the second Pop Up Christmas Shop 14-16 December at the Institute in Holborn.
The shop offers traditional Finnish Christmas delicatessen rye bread, herring, Fazer chocolate and salted liquorice along with Finnish design products such as Iittala glassware.
Free Finnish mulled wine and gingerbread will be served."
