The Clapton Festival with Street Food, a Beer Festival, and Music


The Clapton Festival takes place on Saturday 28th September, in and around the St John at Hackney church, with food (e.g. Bel & Brisket , & Breddo’s Tacos), a mini beer festival from Five Points Brewing, lots of music, art and more, and then inside for the evening from 6pm with Jett, Dan Sylvester and others.  Be there!
Update - Old favourites The Portuguese Conspiracy will be holding a supper club in the evening - no booking, just turn up.  Info here

"Clapton will host a festival to close the summer on Saturday 28th September from 11am - 6pm with live music, art, children’s activities and some of Clapton’s finest food and drink, based in the gardens of St John at Hackney. 
Clapton Festival ends on a high with an after party (6pm-11pm) inside the beautiful 
St John-at-Hackney Church. With laid-back, Secretsundaze-style vibes, ramping up as the night progresses to end in a guaranteed dance-a-thon. 
The day is free entry. For the night earlybird tickets are £4 (+ booking fee) from claptonfestival.eventbrite.co.uk and tickets also available on the door.

Music
On the music front during the day we have the Bronze Medalist who recently played the Green Man Festival, Lovers Electric who’s recent album was described 'infectious’ by Rolling Stone magazine and a whole host of other local talent. Stick around for a DJ line up to take us into the evening.

Drink
FIve Points Brewery are putting on a mini beer festival, showcasing a selection of Hackney micro breweries.
Art
The illustrator behind the festival artwork, Kyle Henderson is hosting a live art event.

Clapton Festival ends on a high inside the beautiful St John-at-Hackney Church with Jett, who’s released music on Fatboy Slim's Southern Fried Records and Moda Black. Music connoisseur and DJ supremo Dan Sylvester travelling the length of Mare Street from his Oval Space residence to spin records, ably supported by special guests and big speakers."
