Monkey Shoulder are popping up in Seven Dials during Cocktail Week in Mid-October with a special bar that lets you mix your own cocktails, under their supervision of course.
"It's that time of year again! From 7th – 13th October in the Seven Dials district of Covent Garden, Monkey Shoulder will once again be shaking up the city, all in the name of London Cocktail Week. And in true Monkey Shoulder style, the team will be building a pop-up bar with a twist...
It’s a scientific fact that the best parties always happen in the kitchen. With this in mind, the Monkey Shoulder team has decided to throw away the bar, and just build a kitchen for aspiring Cocktail Chefs. In Monkey Shoulder's DIY Drinks Kitchen you’ll get to raid the cupboards, pull up a stool and make your own drinks (with expert supervision of course).
Cocktail lovers will be able to get their hands dirty learning how to make drinks like the Monkey Shoulder Old Fashioned, a modern take on a Rob Roy, refreshing Ginger Brewskies (combining beer, Monkey Shoulder, fresh lemon juice and ginger syrup), or anything else that takes your fancy using the ingredients in our cupboards. But, if that all sounds like too much effort for you, you can just hang out and sip some punch.
You won’t even have to leave the kitchen to experience some of the best of the capital’s cocktail culture. Each day The DIY Drinks Kitchen will also feature a different guest bartender, from one of London’s top bars, who’ll be teaching people how to make their favourite Monkey Shoulder cocktail from their own bar’s menu
Monkey Shoulder Brand Ambassador Grant Neave says of the event “London Cocktail Week is a great excuse get out and explore some of the capital’s best bars, meet the bartenders behind them and taste the latest cocktails on offer. We’re really excited to be able to work with some of these guys at the DIY Drinks Kitchen, and to share all that with our guests by teaching them how to make great Scotch cocktails at home”
Finally, what would any Monkey Shoulder event be without its trusty steed - the Monkey Shoulder Trailer? After a summer spent touring festivals, battling through mud and hordes of thirsty revelers; the trailer will finally make its debut on the streets of London. Most importantly, inside there will be a hidden cocktail lab where the good and the great of the drinks trade will be hosting one-off workshops and masterclasses."
