"Opening to the public for two nights only, The Deck, an exclusive rooftop venue, situated above the renowned National Theatre, is transforming into a 50-seat pop-up restaurant.
Showcasing a Spanish inspired six-course tasting menu, created by Ricardo Menta, executive sous chef at the National Theatre, book your table now to enjoy an exclusive dining opportunity with iconic views of London's skyline.
Ricardo Menta, executive sous chef at the National Theatre since April 2012, oversees the kitchen for the popular Terrace restaurant, producing elegant sharing plates which never fail to tantalise customers' taste-buds.
Starting his career in his native country, Brazil, Ricardo brought his passion for creating innovative sharing plates to the UK in 2005, when he began working at fashionable Pintxo People in Brighton, before joining the critically acclaimed Bedford and Strand in Covent Garden. He then moved to the City of London's high profile Madison Restaurant overlooking the dome of St. Paul's Cathedral, continually refining his art of creating delicious small-plate food.
Throughout his career, Ricardo has always been passionate about Spanish food and the convivial atmosphere which accompanies it. For The Deck he has created the menu ‘Teatro de Alimentos' which pays homage to some of his favourite dishes, offering diners a taste of traditional Spanish cuisine perfectly matched with some of the best wine that the Iberian Peninsula has to offer."
