The Botanical Bar at Tate Modern

Botanical Bar at Tate Modern created by Something & Son
Tate Modern has opened a Botanical Bar, serving gin cocktails, to be open Thurs - Sat until the end of September.  The bar was created by Something & Son, with gins from Sacred.  It closes at 9pm, so it's not for night owls, but it's a beautiful setting for early evening drinks!

"This summer, the calm streets behind the bustling South Bank will host Tate Modern’s beautiful botanical bar. Tate Modern has commissioned design practice Something & Son to create a sustainable outdoor pop up bar inspired by baroque and Art Nouveau architectural styles created using ultra modern 3-D printing, serving specially blended gin cocktails.
Tate Catering have worked with micro-distillery Sacred to produce a series of specially blended gins with a changing recipe that features up to 12 botanicals. The gin blend draws from a range of organically sourced botanics such as Juniper, star anise and the more exotic Boswellia Sacra.
The Botanical Bar will be located in ‘Skirt of the Black Mouth’ on the south side of the Gallery on Sumner Street. This space has been created by artists Heather and Ivan Morison using sculptural elements and organic materials making it a special place to sit and relax throughout the summer months."
