Cinnamon Kitchen & Picturehouse Cinema Screenings with Food near Liverpool Street

Cinnamon Kitchen & Picturehouse Cinemas celebrate 100 years of Indian film with two nights showing The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and Life of Pi on a big screen with cocktails, canapes and 'bowl food' at their restaurant near Liverpool Street, on Friday 26th & Saturday 27th July.

"2013 marks the centenary of Indian film, one of the most creative film industries in the world! To mark this historic occasion, we are rolling out the red carpet and celebrating with a weekend of fabulous film screenings and fantastic food. Cinnamon Kitchen has teamed up with Picturehouse cinemas, converting our terrace into London’s most exciting outdoor screens. Our covered outdoor terrace means that come rain or shine this is one cinematic pop-up that the weather can’t dampen!
The evening will commence at 7.30pm on the upper terrace with a welcome Little Bit Corny cocktail – popcorn infused rum, with home-made spiced bitters and cola, garnished with a cola bottle – and canapés such as roasted tilapia with mustard and coconut; lamb mince kebab wrapped in roomali roti; stir fry chicken with garlic and red chillies; and tangy potato in semolina shell. Food-and-film fanatics will then enjoy plates of clove-smoked salmon with coconut and ginger, old Delhi-style chicken curry with pilau rice and stir-fried baby aubergines with kadhai spices – served in bowls and designed to share. Additional refreshments are available to buy once seated on the lower terrace and the film begins at 9.15pm – including cocktails served in cinema-style plastic cups and bags of popcorn with a chilli kick."
