Sadler's Sampled is a two week pop-up dance and music festival at Sadler's Wells theatre near Angel, running in the evenings from 22nd June to 7th July. There is lots to see and do besides the performances, including dance lessons.
"Sadler’s Wells is launching Sadler’s Sampled a brand new two week pop-up festival for London featuring dance, live music, interactive art installations and films at Sadler’s Wells, the UK’s leading dance house. An extension of the popular Sampled showcase, Sadler’s Sampled offers audiences the opportunity to try out a new dance experience, with a range of dance styles on offer including contemporary, hip hop, ballet and tango, with post-show contemporary, tango and break dancing classes. With productions from some of the world’s leading dance makers the programme includes a showcase of three of our own productions in Made at Sadler’s Wells; contemporary dance from Rosas, hip hop, ballet and tango in Sampled, and Hofesh Shechter’s epic production Political Mother: The Choreographer’s Cut. During the festival there will be activity taking place around the theatre from 6.30pm including an interactive art installation by Sophia Clist, Sampled Lounge, pre-show discussion with a variety of speakers talking about dance and the evening’s show, award-winning short films from idill the international dance online short film festival and post-show contemporary, tango and break dancing classes."
