The Bermondsey Food Festival near London Bridge

On Wednesday 15th May a new foodie event London Bridge Open Kitchen is taking place outside White Cube in Bermondsey Street, featuring Jose Pizarro, Platterform, Cave and others.  It's £15 to get in, and for that you get 5 small plates; further dishes (& drinks) can be bought.

"London Bridge was once a mass of wharves and warehouses storing grain, dairy produce, spices and tea, with breweries and mills set back from the river. Known as London’s Larder it was the heart of the capital’s food industry and it is now taking firm strides to recapture some of this reverence.
On 15th May we're taking locavorism to a whole new level by bringing six fine dining establishments within a one mile radius all together for an evening food festival, London Bridge Open Kitchen, at South London's newest arts attraction, White Cube Bermondsey.
The participants will include veterans Jose Pizarro and Village East as well new up-and-comers Brigade and Platterform. Neighbourhood favourites Constancia and Cave complete the line-up. They will be working together to offer London’s gastronomic adventurers a truly memorable evening while sending a message that 2013 is the year that London Bridge truly emerges on the foodie map.
London Bridge Open Kitchen will run for one evening only, from 18:00 to 21:00. Tickets are on sale for £15 per person and include five taster plates from Pizarro, Platterform, Village East, Brigade and Constancia. Drinks will be available for purchase from Platterform and Cave. The festival will take place outside the White Cube in the venue’s street facing courtyard and will be open air."
