Harry Sasson's Club Colombia Pop-up Restaurant at The InterContinental Park Lane

Harry Sasson, one of South American's most celebrated chef's is hosting a pop-up restaurant to showcase Colombian food for one week in mid-May.  The menu examples below sound great - this is sure to be a very hot ticket!

"InterContinental London Park Lane is hosting a pop-up of Harry Sasson’s pioneering restaurant in Bogotá, Club Colombia. Known as one of South America’s most celebrated Chefs, Harry and his team will take over Cookbook Cafe at InterContinental London Park Lane from 17th – 25th May 2013 to recreate his modern and refined approach to Colombian cuisine.
A true pioneer, Sasson is a respected and revolutionary presence in Colombian cuisine. He redefined the way Colombian food was viewed when he opened Club Colombia, a sophisticated restaurant celebrating the country’s heritage with a dash of modern influence. One of the best known Chefs in Colombia, Sasson currently owns five restaurants in Bogotá that host an average of 2,500 people daily, including Harry´s Bakery, Balzac (French), Harry´s Bar, Harry Sasson (Latin America), and Club Colombia.
Colombian cuisine benefits from its Caribbean shoreline, Pacific coast, mountains, jungle, and ranchlands and influences of Spanish, African, Arab and Asian cooking can found. Prior to opening Club Colombia, Sasson spent a year traveling region-by-region looking for the best indigenous recipes to take diners on a culinary journey through the country’s history, tradition, and diversity.
An example of these dishes will be served at the pop-up and include:
Empanaditas Bogotanas con aji criollo -- Bogota style empanadas stuffed with shredded beef and potatoes, served with creole chili sauce
Crab backs al estilo Sanandresano -- Sanandres style crab backs cooked in coconut milk and spices
Ajiaco bogotano con sus garnituras -- Bogota’s most emblematic dish, hearty soup with potatoes, corn and chicken
Arroz con camarones al estilo del pacifico con leche de coco -- Creole rice stew, with shrimp, spices and coconut milk
