"The characteristic narrative prints of Lush Designs’ homewares and gifts will be making a colourful debut in Columbia Road, the heart of East London on Saturday 9th February 2013 where they are popping up for six months.
This most delightful of London streets is the perfect home for design partners Marie Rodgers and Maria Livings’ latest work, which includes lampshades, linens and tableware, all with prints from their own drawings depicting scenes from their imaginations; magical animals and exuberant plant life, the familiar and the fantastic.
In addition to their cheerfully practical items of homeware they are introducing gold-embellished fine china coffee cups and luxurious silk scarves, as well as Beekeeper themed designs in mouthwatering colours.
We’re very excited about retailing in the coolest street in London,” said Maria, “there are so many brilliant independent shops on Columbia Road: art galleries, vintage clothing, delicious food and of course the fabulous flower market.”
The Columbia Road pop-up shop will further strengthen Lush Designs’ presence in the London area with an existing store in Greenwich, a pop up shop in East Dulwich, and design studio at Cockpit Arts in Deptford."
