The Cambridge Satchel Company's Pop-up Shop in Seven Dials

The Cambridge Satchel Company, who make the very colourful satchels you see lots of people wearing, have opened a pop-up shop in Seven Dials, ahead of a full opening in London Fashion Week, in February 2013.

"The pop up shop will be open seven days a week throughout December and January, selling a selection of the company’s satchels; from the classic range to Christmas metallic and seasonal specials. The standalone store will ensure that Cambridge Satchel fans get their hands on the latest products in time for Christmas, ahead of the official store opening which will take place during London Fashion Week in February.
The original British satchel company was founded in 2008 by Julie Deane and her mother Freda Thomas at Julie’s kitchen table just outside Cambridge. The quirky, colourful leather satchels, inspired by the traditional satchels of the 1970s, are now sold in more than 100 countries, and the “Brit It Bag” has been carried by a range of celebrities; from Zooey Deschanel and Alexa Chung to Daniel Radcliffe and the cast of Mad Men.
The company is committed to preserving British manufacturing; all of the products are carefully handmade to order in the UK by locally skilled craftsmen and craftswomen in their Leicester based workshop."
