Super Tuscan, the Italian wine bar in Spitalifields, is holding a new monthly wine tasting night with a difference - the wines battle it out, with the ones deemed 'not worthy' removed from the Super Tuscan wine list.
"From 25th September, Super Tuscan - the Italian wine bar in Spitalfields - will be the setting for Battle of the Bottles, a monthly taste-off that hands control of the wine list over to you. With head-to-head tastings over the course of each evening, only the strongest wines will survive this brutal showdown.
Four wines from Super Tuscan’s wine list - chosen by owner Nick Grossi from Italy’s finest producers - will be squaring up against the four Italian challengers, as chosen by Tom Harrow, AKA WineChap. After tasting and voting, any wines that aren’t up to scratch will be ruthlessly fired from the Super Tuscan wine list, while the triumphant challengers will take their place... until next time.
Because tasting fine Italian wines is hungry work, Super Tuscan’s chefs will also be laying on a feast of hearty Italian cooking to match."
