When is a pop-up not a pop-up? When it's a regular restaurant having an innovative seasonal menu. This is precisely what Trishna are doing, with a special set of game dishes available from mid September until the end of November.
"Trishna, the Marylebone restaurant specialising in the coastal cuisine of south-west India, will mark the arrival of the game season with a five-course set menu specially created by Head Chef, Karam Sethi. Combining the delicate, intricate spices and flavours of Karam’s cooking with the best seasonal produce from the UK’s moors, woods and hillsides, each dish will also be accompanied by wine pairings from Trishna’s sommelier, Sunaina Sethi.
The five-course Game Menu will be available from 17th September and will be priced at £28.50, or £57 with wine pairings. The menu will vary with the availability of produce, but sample dishes include: Venison Keema Naan, served with cucumber black pepper raita (paired with Zweigelt, Schloss Halbturn, Burgenland, Austria 2008); Tandoori Partridge with an Indian 5 spice marinade, served with smoked aubergine chutney (Pinot Noir Ma Maison, Leung Estate, Martinborough New Zealand 2011), and Guinea Fowl Biryani, cooked with coastal spices, coriander and mint (Faugeres, Leon Barrel, France 2009), accompanied by spinach dill, Hyderabadi dal and homemade yoghurt."
