Pop-up Olympic National Venues in London
Several nations are opening special centres where fans can go and watch and celebrate together. Here are a few:
UK & Global - House of Nations
Tower of London & King’s Cross
THESE pop-up venues at two iconic London locations will feature giant screens showing all the action, plus food and drink and themed entertainment.
King’s Cross will be the place for post-Olympic parties, thanks to its 3am licence, with top DJs including Ollie Humphreys and Zeb Wayne.
Details: Open daily 10am-3am (King’s Cross) and 11am-11pm (Tower) from July 27 to August 12. Entry from £20.

Holland Heineken House
Alexandra Palace
Heineken Holland House will have medal ceremonies for Dutch athletes, plus shops, restaurants and cafes. There will also be the chance to take part in various sports either in person or via computer wizardry.

Kensington Gardens
Sochi park ... venue is named after the Russian national park
The Russian ski resort will host the Winter Games in 2014 and a host of 4D technology here will make you feel like you’re on the slopes. There will also be picnic zones, performance spaces and exhibitions of Russian culture.

Jamaica House
The O2
WITH Jamaica celebrating its 50th anniversary of independence, the O2 will get a Caribbean makeover for the Olympics.
The house will celebrate the nation’s history and culture, alongside the Respect Jamaica 50 Music festival.

Kensington Gardens
DISCOVER Africa from the comfort of Kensington Gardens as 53 of the continent’s countries will be represented at this mammoth exhibition. Nigerian musicians, Tunisian singers, Ethiopan drummers, three bands from Morocco and a famous Sengalese artist will all appear on stage.

Irish Olympic House
The Big Chill, King’s Cross
ENJOY the craic at the Irish Olympic House at The Big Chill – a pub opened by the team behind the festival. There’ll be action on big screens, a terrace barbecue and the chance to buy VIP tickets that include the chance to meet Irish athletes, an open bar, gourmet buffet and private area on the roof terrace.
