Tesco F&F Pop-up Shop in Covent Garden

We're starting to see a few things around the Queen's Jubilee - Clam Bakes, Street Parties and more - and now Tesco is opening a short term pop-up shop for its F&F range in Covent Garden.  Like the Ebay shop at Christmas this is essentially an exercise in using the store as a showroom - it's for trying on and then buying online, but you can also order to collect from the nearby Tesco Metro, or your local branch.

"The store will mark the first time that the F&F collection has been available in centre London and will see the brand showcase its exclusive online ranges, and to tie in with Jubilee celebrations, the shop will draw inspiration from the fifties, with plenty of modern features to reflect the digital retail world of 2012.
Unlike a traditional shop, the items on show will be for display and trying on purposes only, and instead of a till there will be an iPad station where customers can browse and buy, as well as QR codes on all products allowing customers to shop via mobile. In addition, the store will allow customers to try out the latest augmented technology from Aurasma, which will bring the collections to life, with catwalk shows playing on customer’s mobile phones when they point their phone at one of the images in the store.
As well as standard delivery, Tesco will offer a Click-and-Collect service through a nearby Covent Garden Tesco Metro, letting customers collect orders the next day.
Customers will also receive goody bags with purchase and there will also be offers, competitions and beauty treatments available from the Vintage Cosmetic Company."
