Tooting Market Re-Vamp Event

Tooting market is changing.  The indoor market, first opened in 1930, has had a re-vamp, with new traders and new events, to make it more like the very successful indoor markets in Brixton.  I love what's happened to Brixton Village, and if they can do this for Tooting then it's going to be great.  They also have an entertainment licence, and are looking for some people to run pop-up events in the future (see the links at the bottom).  Also, make sure you check out the Brickbox Cafe, now being run by team '@number3'.  This event is to launch the re-vamp - come along if you can.

"Tooting Market, culturally diverse and ever changing, offers a wide range of cuisines, alternative therapies, music, clothing, fabrics and fascinating products from all corners of the world.
On Saturday 10th March we will be celebrating the arrival of our new traders, their involvement in the market and all things Tooting.
Between 12 and 4pm the market will be buzzing with excitement, there will be live music performances all afternoon, free tea, coffee and home made cakes and special promotional deals on the various food stalls within the market.
“Everyone is so excited about the fresh air that has been blowing through the lovely art deco arcades lately – the community spirit and activities and goods from all over the world are drawing in locals and visitors alike” say the Brickbox cafĂ© partners – ‘@Number3’ located near the indoor piazza."
