Sabrina Ghayour's Arabesque Supper Club near Holloway Road



Sabrina Ghayour is possibly best known (to me at least) for organising the French Laundrette one-night supper club in October, in response to the French Laundry supper club at Harrods.  That event was a sold out smash, and now she's running a series of supper clubs, each focussing on a different cuisine.  This Friday it's an Arabesque feast:

"STARTERS
K’bbeh Halab
Golden rice balls filled with minced lamb, onions and parsley

Gavurdagi Salad
Tomato, onion and chilli peppers with a pomegranate molasses dressing

Lemon and Coriander Homous
Cucumber, tomato and onion salad with a lemon dressing
***
Borek Peynir
Filo pastry encasing feta cheese and mint
***
Pomegranate Tabbouleh
Pomegranate, parsley, onion, tomato and bulgar coucous served in gem lettuce cups

MAIN COURSES
Rose Harissa and Preserved Lemon Poussins
Spicy chilli and rose extract harissa and preserved lemon marinated baby chicken

Rare Seared Sirloin Fillet
Drizzled with a pomegranate and mustard dressing
***
Spiced Aubergines with Saffron Yoghurt
Delicately spiced aubergine slices with Persian saffron infused yoghurt and pickled chillies

Butternut Squash with Pistachio Pesto
Butternut squash wedges with pistachio pesto, crumbled feta and barberries

Fennel and Apple Salad
Shaved fennel and apple salad with a lemon and dill dressing

Almond, carrot, pistachio & orange cake
Served with rosewater cream
