The Crafty Fox is holding a Christmas craft market in the Dogstar in Brixton. The Crafty Fox is the brainchild of Brixton local Sinead Koehler who makes jewellery under the Galavant label, and was launched last year to provide a platform for emerging designer makers to showcase what they've made. It sounds great - it's craft, but there will also be food (& it is being held in a pub as well!)
"Three Floors of Handmade Heaven - The Crafty Fox Christmas Markets: 10th & 11th December
It takes a crafty fox to sniff out the fun ways to do your Christmas shopping this festive season. With 50+ handpicked stalls over two days, plenty of hands-on workshops, a bar, DJ’s and a pop up tea room, the Crafty Fox Christmas Market at the Dogstar in Brixton, will not disappoint.
Treasures range from hand-drawn plates from Jimbobart and screen printed t-shirts from Homework Collective through to unique handmade leather bags and accessories from N’damus. As always at Crafty Fox, you will also find a few quirky surprises – perhaps a knitted beard from Hairy Molly would be just the thing to finish off that Santa costume!
Crafty Fox takes place on all three floors of the Dogstar, so when you’ve filled your stockings take a moment to explore. Rediscover the lost art of letter writing with the Letter Lounge, make your own decorations with Seaside Sisters or fashion a purse or card holder with Oh Sew Brixton.
Your festive shopping can be stitched up in one go as you soak up tunes by local DJ’s or enjoy a well-deserved cuppa with The Teas Knees."
