The SW Craft Club is holding a one day event at The Landor in Clapham North, to let people try new crafts,a and also allow members to sell what they've made. It's all about participation, and visitors are also asked to bring along vintage or old clothes to swap, upcycle, or make over.
"Not to be mistaken for a craft market, SW Craft Club Summer Pop-Up Event, is bringing together the best south London craft has to offer. It’s a great opportunity for you to mingle and learn a new craft from lots of local crafty experts, for Free*.
Delights on the day include:
Tooting based, Crafty Print will be offering taster sessions of their monthly craft workshops
Events organisers, Got Craft? are pinned down to offer taster sessions in badge decoration – great for the kids!
Tooting based Glittering Shards – is the best mosaic teacher around and will be on hand to show you how to get started with your first mosaic project.
Brixton based Ms Cupcake will be selling her delicious cupcakes and giving you the opportunity to learn to decorate before you buy.
Local knitters will be popping in to help to cast on, teaching you tricks to get you started on your knitting or crochet way.
Clapham based Sew Over It, will be demonstrating how to make fabric covered earrings and scary monsters for the children."
